Raising funds to advance the education and well-being of children in the Luangwa Valley, Zambia
To date Sausage Tree Charity has raised £176,898 for the three schools we support. Please read on to find out about the projects that we have undertaken, these include: helping to renovate and resource 3 schools, paying teachers salaries, initiating tree planting schemes and educating orphaned and vulnerable children through primary and secondary school and college.

Mvula is the Guidance Teacher at Chiwawatala School. He is responsible for the grade 1 enrolment, discipline, examinations and scholarships. Enrolment at Chiwawatala has been a particular problem since the school is oversubscribed. The school currently has two classes for grade 1 with 56 pupils in each class. With only 10 classrooms in the school this increase in numbers causes problems for everyone. There is not enough space and the school struggles to find enough teachers.
